Account Deletion / Data Erasure Request
The Chaster application allows users to self-manage data erasure requests. If you want your account to be erased, please go to https://chaster.app/settings/password and click the "Delete my account" button. This will submit a request, which will be actioned 14 days after submission. This delay is to allow for the scenario where someone incorrectly submits a deletion request or changes their mind to allow the account to be recovered before permanent deletion.
Once you select this button, your account will be placed in a pending delete status which you can recover from within 14 days if you change your mind. After this period, all your personal data will be deleted, including your conversations, messages and attachments, for both you and the recipients.
We will be sorry to see you go, so if you have any feedback as to why you are leaving please let us know!
While we acknowledge this request, we require the above to ensure that an erasure request is only submitted by a legitimate user, and not an unauthorised third party.
